Three Years Into The Future

We're in the future now.

I have an iPhone 4s (a bit outdated, I know) which is touch screen(!!!!) ASTOUNDED?! And Kakaotalk has become the new MSN. Instagram the new photo blog. And Facebook has become the new gossiping friend. Times have changed, but I think a lot of us are still the same girls that made this blog 6-7 years ago. I mean, I still like Matthew Bellamy. It's not as strong (curse you Kate Hudsoooonnnnn *shakes fists*), but he holds a permanent place in my heart now. I also still really like eating unfortunately, as my emotions depend on it.

So the single goal of the blog this month is to get Jess to say something here.

Also I'd like to go back to Jenny's Asian Kitchen for $7.50 lunch special of satay chicken with fried rice. HOMG. And then take away a mixed plate from Jasmin 1, then perhaps run to Woolies to quickly grab some vegetable chips. They're my current obsession but they're $4.19 for a half packet of dried up vegetables. I know. You're probably wondering if it's worth it. It probably isn't. But I make money now, so whatevaaaaaa.

My favourite thing to do is throw my money onto the dining table after I get the bill. It makes me feel like I have a lot.

I have slept 7 hours total in the past 48 hours because I have trouble with time management (GUILTY). Someone teach me some time management skills.

But my crit went surprisingly well. The worst thing about presentation day is that you think your work is good and appropriate and you're feeling quite confident up until you get to class to pin up and see the standards of everyone else. Then you get this weird pit in your stomach and heart palpitations that you can't seem to get rid of until after you present to your tutors. Then after you present they give you feedback and you really try to listen and take it all in but in that moment all you're thinking about is that it's over and you're relieved that it was positive feedback.

After class I went to have dinner with Chloe, Fiona, Steve and Fiona's 2 younger sisters at Chilli Man in Oatley. It was surprisingly good and it lived up to the hype surrounding it. It was Chloe's birthday and we opened 2 bottles of wine. I was a tomato.

Then Fiona drove us back to her house and I met her parents, who are practically Chloe's parents, so I really felt like the boyfriend meeting the parentals for the first time. Fiona baked Chloe a flourless chocolate cake which was so fucking good, and then she also made sticky date pudding with caramel sauce and ugh I died, I had 2.

Slept over Chloe's and we caught a train into the city together because I had work. I had a 3 hour break so I decided to do some shopping, and it saddens me that there's nothing that I want to buy. So I went back to work feeling disappointed with the world (aka Sydney retail).

I'm pretty darn tired now, but all-nighters must run in my genetic makeup because my mother is sewing and isn't sleeping tonight so I'm keeping her company. She said she'll finish before 4am and then I have to drive her to the factory in Penrith. IT'S LIKE GARMENT FACTORY SLAVE LABOUR.

I will try to write a post once a week or at least once a month!

Alyssa.
